Over the last 30 years Geist Nursery has grown to include a full service DESIGN FIRM, GARDEN CENTER and WEDDING VENUE in Fishers, Indiana. What began as a Landscape Design & Installation operation has expanded to include a thriving retail outlet for Annuals, Perennials, Shrubs, Trees, Mulch, Pottery, WHITNEY FARMS Organic Garden Care, and much more! Fred Richwine BSLA, MLA

  • The owner, Fred Richwine, is a Landscape Designer and Land Use Consultant with degrees from Purdue University and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
  • He has been working as a Landscape Designer in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 30 years, and has been an integral part of numerous Land Use projects. in New York, Massachusetts, and Indiana.
  • Fred also has over 35 years experience with Design/Build. While living in New York and Massachusetts he headed an Architectural Restoration business.
  • This experience has provided the design and craftsmanship skills necessary for offering custom deck, patio, screened porch, and home addition services.

Whitney Klein BFA

  • Whitney Klein, the Garden Center manager, is Fred's daughter and a graduate of Indiana University.  After graduating in 2003 she moved back to Indianapolis to help with the family business.
  • She mixes her love of gardening and art to help customers choose the best plants for their landscape.  Annual gardening is her favorite, especially mixing edibles and flowers!
  • She has hosted special events at the garden center since 2010, and loves to help plan weddings, private dinners, and parties.
  • Levi, her 4 yr old son, is generation #3 and loves Bobcats (the mulch loaders), yellow flowers, and helping customers!     


Andrew Klein, Executive Chef

  • Andrew Klein is the Executive Chef (husband of Whitney Klein) and owner of our sister company, No Coast Cuisine & Catering.  After attending Ivy Tech Culinary School, he spent 15 years working at notable Indianapolis restaurants, including Executive Sushi Chef at Kona Grill in Clay Terrace and Executive Sous Chef at Flemings Steak House at Fashion Commons.
  • He mixes his love of gardening and food to bring a true FARM to TABLE experience to everything he caters.
  • Andrew has been catering weddings and special dinners at the farm since 2010, and is now ready to make that his full-time focus.
  • Thanks to his extensive and diverse culinary background, he is very good at catering to specifc needs and tastes.
